About Santana de Parnaíba

The Republic of Brazil is the largest country in South America. 1. Five Regions of Brazil

Brazil is divided into five macroregions. North, is the largest region of Brazil and a large part of it is covered by the Amazon Rainforest, home to the world’s biodiverse areas and comprises a large variety of plant species, fish species, and hundreds of fauna. Tourist needs to travel by boat in order to visit this special place. The Northeast region is mostly dry, populated and known as the most impoverished region. Primarily adhering to the customs and practices of Western Civilization, Brazil is a diverse ethnic and cultural mixed country. The influences from Portuguese colonization, Italians, Spaniards, Austrians, Russians, Japanese, Koreans, Arabs, and Ukrainians played a significant role in their culture. Most of its traditional lifestyle is influenced by the Portuguese empire and some of it is still evident in the modern lifestyle of Brazilians. 3. Brazilian Samba

Sway your hips rapidly to the lovely rhythmical dance of the Brazilians. Samba was formed from the music and dance culture of the Afro-Brazilians. It is the most prevalent dance especially during the Festival of Carnaval and a must-featured event in the FIFA World Cup. A vast array of dance such as Samba no pé, Samba de Gafieira, Samba Pagode, Samba Axé, Samba-reggae, and Samba-rock. Most of the fabulous colorful costumes are hand-crafted as necessary with a touch of sequin, glitters, and feather sewed on. The secret to having that enormous and dazzling costume is accessories such as sequined feather carnival headband.

4. Football Craze

The Brazilians are known all over the world as a football enthusiast. The Seleção, the national team of Brazil, has successfully won the FIFA World Cup Tournament five times than any country in the whole world making them the best overall performance in the World Cup. Football is the most played sport in the country and home to the greatest and finest players, including Carlos Alberto, Rivaldo, Romario Ronaldo, Socrates, Alexander Pato, Maicon Luis Fabiano, and Pele; to name just a few. The Maracanã Stadium found in Rio de Janeiro and Morumbi Stadium are two of the impressive stadiums that host matches and international football tournaments. 5. Energetic Festivals

The Carnival Festival is one of the biggest and most anticipated parties in the whole world. The festival features street dancing, music, and dancing, where everyone is welcome to just have fun, laugh and sway their hips to the loud rhythmic music of the famous Banda de Ipanema, who was declared as part their cultural heritage because of its significant role in the birth of Rio Carnival. Some of the festivals to discover are; Oktoberfest, Festa Junina, and Parintins Folklore Festival; to name a few.

6. Excellent Brazilian Coffee

The adventures of Brazil wouldn’t be complete without coffee to perk you up until the break of dawn. Brazil is the largest exporter of coffee in the whole world. Minas Gerais found in the southeastern region of the country and the fact that it is the fourth largest area in the country, it plays an important role in the production of coffee making it the largest coffee-producing region. The most common coffee variety in Brazil is Arabica beans, which harvested from May to September. Some of the usual exported Brazilian coffee comes in the form of ground and roasted coffee and soluble coffee; to name a few. The amazing aroma and mellow flavor of Brazilian coffee can energize every tourist to discover the wonders of the country.
